It is a major investment by SIGVARIS GROUP, a global company established in 1864, and seeks to improve access to best practice treatment for people with lymphoedema, lipoedema and oedema associated with vascular conditions, which is a particularly under serviced area of Australia's health industry.

Want to make a difference? We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist, who wants to make an impact in this area of the health sector.
The Oedema Institute is an exciting project developed by a prominent international company. A highly specialised hub for the treatment of oedema associated with Lymphoedema, Lipoedema or vascular conditions and education for medical professionals and others.
The clinic is part of a substantial medical centre which in turn is part of a large shopping/residential/entertainment/office development, and prominent in the Monash (Melbourne, Victoria) high tech, education and health precinct.
This is a Permanent Part Time position.

The Role:
This is a senior role that includes both hands on practice and management responsibilities:
- Provision of specialist Occupational Therapy services, programs, and products to patients with Lymphoedema, Lipoedema and vascular oedema conditions.
- Experience in educating patients, carers, and health care team members.
- Experience exercising independent professional judgment and resolving complex technical or critical professional problems.
- Providing professional, authoritative leadership, advice, and direction; setting standards for and evaluating performance and interpreting policy.
- Experience managing delegated activities.
- Experience conducting regular reviews with employees for performance and planning professional development.
- Contribute to other teams and forums within the Sigvaris Group
- Assist development and execution of policy, strategy, budget and reporting.
Qualifications, registrations & experience
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Current registration with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA)
- Current registration with Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA) and Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner Program (ALPP) and experience in lymphoedema treatment preferable
- Current registration with SWEP garment subsidy program
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check
- Appropriate provider registration e.g. Medicare, Private Health Funds
- Appropriate professional Indemnity, Public and Products liability
